Postnatal Confinement Services Kuching

After the launching the Havilah Confinement Home in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia on 20th April 2009, I have had a lot of feedback from parents about the difficulties they faced during the postnatal period. Problems with unreliable confinement nannies, conflicting opinions between grandparents and the confinement lady, unexplained maternal postnatal depression or mood swings are among some of the commoner issues.

This blog will bring together professionaly vetted articles that busy new parents may find useful, that they may otherwise not have access to. As a practicing pediatrician and a public health specialist of over 30 years, you can be assured the postings will be from reputable sources only. Articles on antenatal care will also be included here.

For other articles on child care do check out the website of the Havilah confinement home(http://havilah.wsiefusion.net) or my blogs http://drtanpohtin.blogspot.com or http://pediatricianinhouse.blogspot.com. If you are looking for a locally relevant handbook for care of your baby from day one - do check out my book "Congratulations, you're a mum and dad"

The Havilah Confinement Home staff are available for home visits (domiciliary confinement services) should you prefer to stay in your own home.
Sorry, for the time being, this is only for Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
